Giving Back – Vitality Athletic Apparel

GIVING BACK

Giving back has been a key pillar of our mission since the very beginning. At Vitality’s core, we strive to support and amplify organizations that create an impactful change in the lives of those who need it most. This brand is deeply rooted in community, and we are overwhelmingly grateful that together, we are able to make a difference in projects and organizations we are passionate about. Together we have raised $500,000+ and we are just getting started.

Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics gives the athletes continual opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Special Olympics Colorado makes an impact on over 16,000 athletes by offering 21 sports and over 1,800 health screenings for athletes annually. In addition to sports offered, Special Olympics Colorado offers programming around leadership, community building, inclusive health and fitness, and more; all of which are empowering people with intellectual disabilities (ID) to create a more welcoming and inclusive Colorado.

< class="half-media-text__title">It Gets Better Project

The It Gets Better Project is a nonprofit organization with a mission to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth around the globe.

What started as a social media campaign with over 70,000 people sharing their stories in 2010, turned into a global non-profit that reaches millions of young people each year through inspiring programming, educational resources, international affiliates in 19 countries, and access to an arsenal of community-based service providers.

The It Gets Better Project fulfills its mission to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) youth around the globe in three ways:

Storytelling and Media: Storytelling is at the center of our global effort to empower LGBTQ+ youth. We work in all forms of media to bring messages of hope to LGBTQ+ youth, spark conversations about the challenges they confront, and inform and positively influence their sexual orientation and gender identity journey.

Global: The It Gets Better Project works with like-minded organizations around the world to bring life-affirming storytelling initiatives to local LGBTQ+ youth communities. Our work now spans four continents and eight languages making us the world’s largest storytelling effort to empower LGBTQ+ youth! International affiliates* are independent organizations with licenses to do business as It Gets Better in their country.

Education: It Gets Better stories can inspire empathy and understanding in others. With a premier youth ambassador program and a growing library of free educational resources delving into the LGBTQ+ experience, tens of thousands of high school students are engaged through It Gets Better EDU programming every year.
