Rise May ‘23 features activewear staples that are stylish enough for everyday but engineered to help you achieve optimum output.
It includes new performance tops in sibling fabrics for women and men: Kinetic and Energy tanks and tees, as well as the return of our Prime line for men. Our reinvented Prime Train Short and Prime Jogger feature softer and more breathable fabric, sweat-wicking tech, recycled materials, improved fit, and subtle design upgrades like color-matched reflective striping and strategic ventilation for cooling airflow.
For a sneak peek into the design process, we chatted with Vitality’s Director of Product, Alexa.

What was the design inspiration behind this collection?
We really wanted a collection that was sporty yet versatile. This collection was designed for active people on the move while ensuring each piece would be extremely comfortable on the body.
The Energy and Kinetic styles can easily be worn to the gym or as lifestyle pieces. The Prime Train Short is an upgraded version of one of our favorite men’s shorts and we have added a jogger to the collection.
The Energy and Kinetic pieces in this collection are sibling lines using the same bespoke Vitality fabric. Will you tell us some key features of that fabric and why we decided to use it for these styles in particular?
The Energy Tank and Energy Tee, and Kinetic Tank and Kinetic Tee all feature a seamless design so the fit is super comfortable on the body, and the fabric is lightweight, yet very flexible and stretchy.
We’ve added subtle perforation holes down the center back and down the underarm for extra breathability where you need it most. The fabric is 100% recycled, UPF 50+, sweat wicking, fast drying, and antimicrobial (AKA anti-odor) so it really has all the bells and whistles.
Since the styles are constructed with seamless technology, the pieces are very forgiving, non-restrictive, and extremely comfortable, even for intense activity.
The Prime Short is one of our all-time top-rated men’s products, but I can say from personal experience that these new, upgraded Prime products are completely bananas. They are so soft and so great to workout in. Can you talk us through the feature upgrades on this launch?
The Prime Train Short and new Prime Jogger are lined with a soft, breathable mesh which makes this short so great to work out in! And, the new Prime fabric is majority recycled so this is a huge upgrade from our previous fabric.
Both styles feature color-matched reflective striping along the leg which not only adds to the sporty look but also is a safety feature when running at night. They feature an elastic, pull on waistband with drawcords to adjust the waist for your body. The jogger offers zippers at the bottom opening which is a huge benefit if you are hiking and wearing a larger shoe! And they have side pockets to store your personal items along with a laser-cut perforation detail at the back yoke for added ventilation and breathability.
