Engineered for adventure

The Traveler May ‘23 collection is truly meant to go anywhere and do anything. Our goal with this collection was to create pieces that were technical enough to withstand even the roughest wear, but stylish enough to class up a casual look.

To accomplish this impossible feat, we needed a fabric that could combine performance with rugged durability…and look great doing it. That search ultimately led to our new Nomad and Navigator lines

Vitality’s Nomad and Navigator lines are sibling collections that feature the same medium-weight, uber-versatile fabric. Its ridiculously soft, smooth handfeel might lead you to assume that we developed it just for pure comfort, but don’t be fooled; thanks to a 75% rip-resistant nylon composition, Nomad and Navigator are built for action.

In this Traveler May ‘23 launch, we’re introducing two sibling pairs of Nomad-Navigator pieces: a Nomad Short and Nomad Jogger for women, and a Navigator Short and Navigator Jogger for men.

All feature 4-way stretch and antimicrobial tech, enhanced breathability, and subtle design details that give a tailored, finished look, making them perfect for so much more than just a morning run or gym workout.

For more insight into what makes the Nomad and Navigator lines such instant classics, I sat down with Vitality’s Director of Product, Alexa:

*****

As with Versa and Adapt, the Nomad and Navigator pieces in this collection are sibling lines based around the same bespoke Vitality fabric. Will you tell us some key features of that fabric and why we decided to use it for these styles in particular?

It’s a versatile, medium-weight fabric with a lot of stretch to it. So the Nomad and Navigator pieces are super comfortable and durable.

We wanted to ensure we found a fabric that would be suitable for all day, everyday wear, so these pieces are not only great for leisurely wearing around the house but they’re also perfect for other various activities such as hiking and outdoor exercise. Plus, the fabric is antimicrobial, which helps prevent any unwanted odors from exercising.

Women's Nomad Jogger from Vitality

We often hear from customers that our shorts and joggers are some of their surprise favorites. What sets the Nomad and Navigator bottoms apart from others we’ve launched before?

I think these are the perfect “dress up, dress down” pieces. You can pair them with so many different options to create different outfits for different end activities. You can wear the drawcord on the exterior of the waistband for a more casual vibe OR on the interior of the waistband for a more dressed up look.

And the fits of these items are so flattering on all shapes and sizes. We have thought out every detail to make sure everyone feels confident and comfortable in these bottoms.

The Navigator Short and Navigator Jogger are the first new men’s bottoms we’ve launched in a while, and they represent a true upgrade in quality. What makes them so special?

We’ve taken the time to perfect every detail for all the men’s pieces in this launch. Aside from the fabric itself, which is absolutely top notch, both items feature an elastic waistband with a functional drawcord that can be worn on the exterior or the interior of the waistband for a custom look.

They each include functional details like side pockets with concealed zippers so you don’t get distracted by items falling out of your pocket, and an elastic cuff at the leg opening on the jogger and a step hem with a side slit for the shorts for added mobility and comfort.

Plus, the fits are extremely nuanced. The joggers have a relaxed-yet-slim fit throughout the leg so it hugs the body in the best possible way, they use our dynamic grading system so—unlike many other clothing brands—the sizing adjusts adjusts across the size spectrum from XS to 4XL, and both the short and jogger feature a curved back yoke seam at the rear which is extremely flattering!

What else are you excited about with this collection launch?

I’m personally excited about our new Synergy tops and our brand-new Vital Workout Mat

Vitality's women's activewear from the Traveler May '23 collection

The tops are so flattering and I consider them staple pieces. The shape of the Synergy square neck tank is so beautiful and flattering. These tight-fitting tops look incredible with our Nomad bottoms.

And I can’t even contain my excitement for our Vital Workout Mat. The quality and durability is unmatched. It’s made of a heavyweight material with a super-grippy, no-slip surface, and we made sure to make the size and length perfect for all heights—so it’s extra long, which I know our Vitality family will be super excited about.
